Hi guys, this is Brad Lincoln with Pathway To Aus, with another one at Brad’s quick bits. And today I’ve got a bit of a new series that we’re going to start for you today, which is going to be listing out all the different trade options that are available to you in each state. Just really simple, short, quick information, so you can go what’s available in Tasmania. This is what this video is about and know exactly what options you’ve got in the world of trades.
Now I’m just stressing. This is just trade courses. There are hundreds of different options to study in every single different location we’re going to be chatting about over the next couple of videos. But we’re just solely focusing on the trades for this one, as I mean generally our clients that’s what they’re looking for. So, I’ll give you a bit of an insight to that.
So guys, please remember, this is just going to be some basic information here. I’m just going to give you sort of the very core details of what’s available to you. Please remember if you do want to get more information, contact the team, we can explain how the payment plans work, when the start dates are all that sort of thing. But this is just to give you an idea of what you can do in your chosen state.
So, first we got Tasmania. Now guys, Tasmania is an epic place to study. I’m going to put a link below for a video that Nick did not so long ago, that really goes into a lot of detail about the benefits of undertaking study in Tasmania, the different migration pathways they’ve got compared to other areas in Australia. It’s just a really cool spot and there’s a couple of cool trade options down there as well.
So, automotive light vehicle mechanic has just come on down there. So, that’s going to be delivered over a two year course and is in a package of courses. So, it will be your Cert III in light vehicle automotive technology and your Cert IV in automotive diagnosis, which gives you the trade qualification of being a light vehicle mechanic. As I said, that course is over two years, and you’re going to be looking at about $12,000 Australian per year for that study. So, a really good option and pretty on par in terms of price with most other areas in Australia for that course.
Cookery, so commercial cookery, as all you guys know, probably one of the most popular courses for international students, very solid pathways available. It’s a great industry. You mean that that industry is built off an international workforce without a doubt in my mind, The course is delivered over a package. So, generally speaking you would do the Cert III and Cert IV in commercial cookery followed by the diploma of hospitality management.
There is another option where it’s the Cert IV in commercial cookery and the diploma of hospitality management, both options are fine because the Cert IV, if it’s just a Cert IV and diploma package, what you’ll find is all those modules that you need for the Cert III are incorporated into that Cert IV. So, essentially it gives you the job title of a chef. The course will run for two years and has a cost of around 9K a year. So, a bit cheaper, which is good. It’s always going to save a bit of money where you can, and guys, it’s a really great option.
Now, a lot of these other videos will have a lot more options. Tasmania you got to remember is quite small. So, that’s the only trade options we’ve got down there in Tasmania at the moment. But as I said, if you are looking at other study options, other migration pathways, check out this video in the link below from Nick because there are so many other courses down there that are amazing.
And I mean you don’t need to essentially do a trade to generate a migration pathway or something like that. I mean, there’s many different factors there, but check it out and as always, if you do have any other questions about studying in Tasmania or studying in the rest of Australia, never hesitate to contact the team at Pathway To Aus by phone, Facebook website or Instagram. Thanks.
