Western Australia State Migration Finally Opens! – Requirements & Eligibility
- WA Migration has finally opened for the 2023/2024 Financial Year for state nomination. In this video, we discuss new trends, the eligibility requirements, and the selection process.
Getting a Western Australia State nomination is important if you’re applying for the Permanent State Nominated -190 or the Skilled Regional – 491 visa.
We must note that before you can apply for these visas, you need to get an invitation from WA immigration.
Here are the links to the videos of the two visas:
In WA there is a heavy focus on prioritising construction occupations with lower employment requirements.
WA migration has also stated that there will be a preference to invite applications living and working in WA, after this, they will then assess overseas workers and Aus interstate workers. This is because WA Migration was expecting to receive a much larger quota of invitations to hand out, compared to what Federal Immigration gave.
What is the Process?
Step 1: Lodge an expression of interest
Step 2: Wait to receive an invitation from WA immigration
Step 3: Once you have received an invitation, you can then provide the requested documents
Step 4: Lodge your visa through your immigration account
