How much do I have to be paid for the 186 visa?

Published: Sep 11, 2020

You must demonstrate that you are being paid based on the Australian market salary rate for the role. Australia significantly raised the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) to $73,150 since 1 July 2024. The wage you are being offered to must be at least equal to or better the prevailing wage. It can be more depending your work experience and qualifications. Immigration does this so employers don’t hire cheap foreign workers to undercut Australians.
