The 2024 Skills in Demand Visa includes three main pathways:

  1. Specialist Skills Pathway: For highly skilled workers earning at least AUD 135,000 annually, except for trades, machinery operators, drivers, and laborers.
  2. Core Skills Pathway: For workers in occupations listed on the Core Skills Occupation list, earning at least AUD 73,150 annually.
  3. Essential Skills Pathway: For workers in essential skill occupations earning under AUD 70,000 annually, focusing initially on sectors like aged care and disability support​.
