You usually need formal qualifications and extensive diving experience to work as a Scuba, Snorkelling or Dive instructor. You can undertake courses in diving instruction through an Accredited Training Establishment. You must also be registered with Professional Association of Diving Instructors and the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme.
Students learn to become a scuba diving instructor whilst completing the Cert III and IV in Outdoor and Recreation. During this course, students undertake many dives.
