Engineering Electrical Systems

The Master of Engineering Electrical Systems, developed by electrical and renewable energy experts will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to address the demands of the modern power industry.

You will learn how to design the components of a power system including generation, transmission, distribution and the associated systems. The program will also cover the automation, protection and control components that contribute to the high level of reliability expected from modern power systems.

Course Requirements for Master in Engineering Electrical Systems

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with a focus on electrical, electronics, or related systems.
  • English Proficiency:
    • IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0).
    • TOEFL: 79+ (minimum score in individual components applies).
    • PTE: Overall 58 (minimum communicative skills score 50).
    • Exemptions apply if:
      – you are a citizen and hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
      – you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course
      – you have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Work Experience: Some universities may consider relevant professional experience as an added advantage.
